Drive for sheet accelerating system

The drive for a sheet acceleration system in a sheet printing press consists of a swinger and a paper feed system, running periodically at speeds alternating either side of a middle point. An irregular transmission in the form of a double crank (14) is fitted between the swinger (1) and the paper feed system (2). The drive crank (13) of the double crank is connected to the swinger drive, and the driven crank (12) is connected to the paper guide system. The double crank may have a controlled driven member. The double crank is so arranged that the circumferential velocity of the paper feed system coincides with that of the swinger at the point in time of the transfer.
