<p>In a tool holder support assembly (10), a horizontal slide member (18) connects to a machinery table (12) with a T-slot connection (14) and a vertical support post (22) connects to the slide member (18) with a sliding dovetail joint (26). The slide member (18) and post (22) are fixed together by a wedge (34) that extends from the post (22) and presses transversely against a sloped surface (76) of a dovetail protrusion (62) on the sliding member when a bolt (36) is rotated. The slide member (18) is fixed to the machinery table by engaging a nut (78) located in the T-slot (14) with a bolt (85) passed through the slide member (18). Alignment is provided between the machinery table (12) and slide member (18) by abutting external surfaces (90, 92).</p> |
