Drive system with coaxial arrangement of motor, planetary drive and PTO shaft e.g. for excavator electric or hydraulic motors

The drive system has a planetary drive and a final driven (power take-off or PTO) shaft in a housing arranged in series within the force flow path. The motor (1) is mounted inside the PTO shaft (7), which can have a gear wheel (8) for driving an excavator's turning mechanism. Alternatively, the PTO shaft can be fitted with a flange for attachment of at least one wheel rim. A brake between the motor and the planetary drive is mounted inside the PTO shaft or a component connected to it.
