The boiler has a bell shaped housing (1) contains a burner chamber (13) and waste gas collection chamber (2), and has water cooled walls (5). The walls are formed as a pocket system (R), which divides the housing into the chambers, defines the heating flues (8), and has connected pockets. The burner side ends (9') of all pockets, which form the whole burner surface (F) of the mainly semi-spherical surface burner (4), are mainly at the same distance to the burner surface. The pocket system consists of a single, helical pocket length (10), which is wound to correspond to the burner shape.
