PURPOSE:To prevent lock of a wheel when a brake is rapidly operated during the occurrence of emergency by providing a reaction force generating mechanism which generates a high operation reaction force when rapid operation of the brake by means of a parking brake operating means. CONSTITUTION:By foot-pedalling a parking brake pedal 2 during usual running, right and left brake device 30 are operated through a front cable 7 and left and right rear cables 17 and 14. Meanwhile, by operating a release lever 5 at a hand, the parking brake pedal 2 is unlocked, and returned through the restoration force of a return spring 3. When the parking brake pedal 2 is rapidly pedalled during the occurrence of emergency, with the increase in this operation speed, i.e., the piston speed of a hydraulic damper 6 serving as a reaction force generating mechanism, a damping force is increased. Thus, a high operation reaction force is generated to reduce the operation speed of the parking brake pedal 2, and wheels are prevented from lock. |
