The stiffness and vibrational behavior of a ski is controlled by hydraulic means (811,813,815-818) forming a hydraulic circuit in which a fluid is caused to flow in one direction upon flexing of the ski and in reverse direction upon counterflexing of the ski, said circuit having a selectively adjustable hydraulic resistance (815,816,817) which can have different values according to the direction of flow.
