<p>The tank consists of a rectangular base (1) with two end (2,3) and two side (4,5) walls, forming two planes of symmetry which intersect in the middle of the tank. The base of the tank is in two halves on either side of a trough (7) with a central outlet (6). Each side is divided into four sections, two of which (13.1,13.2,13.3,13.4) slope down gently from the end walls to intermediate lines (8.1,8.2;8.3,8.4), while the other two slope at a steeper angle from the middle line (10,11) of each half-base to the intermediate lines. The end sections of the base halves slope both lengthwise and transversely at about 3.5 per cent, while the inner sections (14.1 - 14.4) slope lengthwise and transversely at about 26 per cent.</p> |
