PURPOSE:To obtain an ink for writing utensils, which can be well discharged and allows prolonged writing, by using a specified org. compd. as an ink discharge improver. CONSTITUTION:An ink for writing utensils contains a compd. of the formula (wherein n is 1-10; R is an alkyl; X is an alkali metal, H, ammonium or an alkanolamine). Said compd. can be used in both water ink and oil ink and is used in an amount of pref. 0.1-10wt%. Said ink for writing utensils can be easily prepd. by mixing ingredients by stirring with a stirrer when only a dye is used as a colorant, or by dispersing a pigment in a dispersion mixer and removing coarse particles by centrifugation or filtration when a pigment is incorporated in the colorant. The compd. of the formula has an ability to improve the wetting of points of pens so that the dischargeability of the ink is improved, blurring is hardly caused and prolonged writing becomes possible. |
