PURPOSE:To economically prepare the objective beer, by contacting a fermented beer liquid with a side of a hydrophobic porous membrane and contacting an alcohol-absorbing liquid to the other side, thereby removing the alcohol from the beer without deteriorating the taste and flavor of the drink. CONSTITUTION:A fermented beer liquid 2 prepared by a fermentation process is passed through a side of a membrane distillation unit 7 with a pump 10 interposing a porous membrane 1 made of a hydrophobic material (e.g. polyethylene) having fine pores, permeable to gas and impermeable to liquid and is recycled to a beer storage tank 8. An absorbing liquid 3 (e.g. water) having a vapor pressure lower than the vapor pressure of alcohol of the beer 2 is supplied to the other side of the distillation unit 7 with a pump 12 and recycled to an absorption liquid tank 9 to obtain the objective beer. |
