摘要 A cooling device for optical and/or electronic elements, for example diode lasers, and/or other test devices (elements) has a stock container for a cryogenic liquid which is fed to a vaporising chamber in which it completely evaporates, thereby extracting heat from the element. In its lower section, the vaporising chamber has an inlet opening through which the cryogenic liquid enters the vaporising chamber and in its upper section it has an outlet opening through which the vapour escapes via a throttle into the cryogenic liquid stock container. Preferably, the upper end of the vaporising chamber is lower than the lowest level of the cryogenic liquid stock, and the cryogenic liquid is supplied and the vapour removed by means of pipelines which can be shaped in any desired way. The element to be cooled is connected in a heat-conducting manner to a heat-conducting element which has a low thermal resistance and which projects into the vaporising chamber in such a way that the cryogenic liquid in the vaporising chamber wets the heat-conducting element. In the cryogenic liquid stock container, the heat-conducting element is thermally insulated.
