PURPOSE: To restrain the occurrence of a phenomenon of a thermal escape by reducing a active material equivalent ratio (a negative electrode active material equivalent/a positive electrode active material equivalent) of a sealed lead-acid battery. CONSTITUTION: A sealed lead-acid battery is assembled by plate group constitution of four positive plates 1 and three negative plates 3. The respective positive plates 1 are covered with separators 2 (retainers) bent in a U shape, and the negative plates 3 are arranged between the positive plates 1. The positive plates 1 are constituted so as to be arranged on both end surfaces of a plate group. |
