发明名称 MAGNESIA-TITANIA REFRACTORY AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a base-resistant refractory, having excellent chemical stability under a high-temperature basic atmosphere and improved in spalling resistance by forming a mineral phase of a magnesium orthotitanate (Mg2 TiO4 ) in interstices among integrally sintered magnesia grains forming the skeleton of the refractory. CONSTITUTION: This base-resistant refractory is a basic magnesia-titania refractory consisting essentially of magnesium oxide and contains a fine mineral phase of magnesium orthotitanate uniformly dispersed in interstices among magnesium oxide grains. The refractory preferably comprises 5-50wt.% magnesium orthotitanate interposed in the interstices among the coarse magnesia grains having >=1mm average grain diameter or the coarse grains having >=1mm average grain diameter and medium magnesia grains having 1-0.15mm average grain diameter. The mineral phase of the magnesium orthotitanate is preferably fine grains formed of the raw material grains having <=0.15mm average grain diameter.
