METHOD FOR TREATING SOLUTION OF AROMATIC POLYAMIDE IN SULFURIC ACID

PURPOSE: To recycle a solution of an aromatic polyamide in sulfuric acid which has been difficultly treatable by a usual waste disposal method as the starting material for the production of sulfuric acid without causing environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: This method comprises melting a solution of an aromatic polyamide in concentrated sulfuric acid by heating for a time satisfying the relationship I to bring it into a state in which it can remain as liquid at ordinary temperature and mixing the product with usual sulfuric acid to form a sulfuric acid production material.
