<p>PURPOSE: To provide a control device for an electric driven power steering device capable of detecting a mechanical lock condition of a motor. CONSTITUTION: When arm ignition switch is turned on, a clutch drive circuit 53 holds a clutch 9 off only for a prescribed time by a timer, and a fail relay drive circuit 54 turns on a fail relay 43 to close a contact 43, so as to supply power to a motor drive circuit 41. Rotation of a motor 10 is converted into a pulse signal in a pulse generator 55, to decide whether or not a rotational speed is a prescribed value or lees by a motor rotation discriminator 51. In the case of the rotational speed in the prescribed value or less, locking the motor is decided, to actuate a fail safe processor 52 with the clutch 9 left as held off, to turn off the fail relay 43, and the contact 43a is opened to interrupt supplying power to the motor 10, so as to place an electric driven power steering device inoperative.</p> |
