PURPOSE: To improve reliability by holding excellent sealing ability between a cylinder and a plunger without increasing the dimension of a cylinder, and preventing the damage of a seal member to reduce fuel leak. CONSTITUTION: A protrusion part 50 is integrally formed at the lower part of a cylinder 11 in such a state to protrude from the cylinder 11. A seal member 70 is fitted in the outer peripheral wall of the protrusion part 50 through press fitting. Since a lip part 74 is made of rubber and brought into contact with the outer peripheral wall of a plunger 43 by a resilient force, the thickeness of a fuel oil film with which the outer peripheral wall of the plunger 43 is covered can be decreased, a leak amount of fuel or oil is reduced. By fitting the seal member 70 in the outer peripheral wall of the protrusion part 50 formed integrally with the cylinder 11, the size of the protrusion part 50 is reduced and the thickness thereof is increased, deformation of the cylinder 11 during heat treatment is reduced and processing of a slide hole 11a is facilitated. |
