PURPOSE: To detect the position of a traveling object at high speed and to perform fast traveling control on a large number of traveling objects by generating traveling data to instruct the traveling operation of the traveling object corresponding to position information and transmitting the traveling data to a reception means. CONSTITUTION: A transmission LED 7 is, for example, a light emitting element which emits infrared light, and it is arranged at a prescribed height position on the upper face of a pedestal 3 by making a transmitting direction face downward similarly as a CCD camera 6. An infrared light signal from the LED 7 is transmitted with a prescribed spread angle facing a self-traveling vehicle 1 running on a racing track 2. A synchronized light pulse signal is transmitted from each transmission LED 7 connected in parallel to a transmission unit 8. In this way, no interference occurs even when an area managed by each transmission LED 7 is overlapped partially, which prevents malfunction from occurring. |
