PURPOSE: To shorten a time required for opening and closing an elevator door so as to enable efficient operation of an elevator by reducing a time required for rising and lowering of a liftable buffer stop provided in an elevator car. CONSTITUTION: A get-on side and a get-off side are detected from the conditions of a front side car calling device 13A, a rear side car calling device 13B, a front side hall calling device 14A, and a rear side hall calling device 14B. Based on the detected results, a front side buffer stop drive device 6A and a rear side buffer stop drive device 6B are controlled by a microcomputer for control 10. Then, when the get-on side and the get-off side are the same, the operation of the front side buffer stop drive device 6A and the rear side buffer stop drive device 6B is restricted to keep the buffer stop on the get-on side at lower position. Thus a time for waiting the lowering of the buffer stop in getting off the car is eliminated to enable rapid getting off the car. |
