<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently and sufficiently remove a metallic soil by treating an org. solvent soln. of a polymer containing the metallic soil with an aq. soln. of an org. acid and org. salt. CONSTITUTION: The metallic soil-containing org. solvent soln. of a polymer such as hydrogenation reaction liq. of styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer after hydrogenation is mixed sufficiently with the aq. soln. of the org. acid such as citric acid and the org. salt such as Na citrate. Then, a water layer is removed and an org. solvent layer is recovered. When the polymer is washed in such a way, the metallic soil such as hydrogenation catalyst residual dross is removed from the org. solvent soln. of the polymer. In this way, the metallic soil is removed efficiently from the polymer, and also this method is low in bad effect upon the apparatus since this method is treated in about neutral condition.</p> |
