PURPOSE: To perform copying by easily setting magnification without causing the partial omission of an image. CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 1004 is provided with a CPU 1004a, a ROM 1004b and a RAM 1004c, and has an automatic variable power mode for automatically calculating copying magnification based on the size of an original and the size of a recording medium, an optional magnification mode for setting the optional magnification, a routine variable power magnification mode for selectively setting the magnification from plural fixed routine magnifications, a somewhat small magnification mode for forming the image at the magnification somewhat smaller than the specified magnification set, and a somewhat small magnification center moving mode for moving the image to the center of transfer paper at the time of setting the somewhat small magnification mode as a mode for controlling the size and the position of the image. Then, the circuit 1004 controls a zoom lens, etc., being a variable power means based on the set mode to perform the image copying. |
