<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a wood cement board excellent in mechanical strength and freeze-thaw resistance and prevented from the warpage of the product due to water absorption, by using a combination of Portland cement and sludge- burnt ash as inorganic hydraulic material. CONSTITUTION: This wood cement board consists of a cured product of a blend of 60-80wt.% inorganic hydraulic material and 20-40wt.% woody reinforcing material; the inorganic hydraulic material contains 30-80wt.% of Portland cement and 10-70wt.% of sludge-burnt ash. For producing this wood cement board, a molding material having the above composition is incorporated with 35-45wt.% of water, the resultant blend is then cast on a molding plate to form a mat, and, if desired, a specified number of sheets of the mat are mutually laminated and then pressed and cured.</p> |
