PURPOSE: To provide a developing device suitable to an electrophotographic system image forming device capable of providing a good image for a long term. CONSTITUTION: In this developing device; an electrifying blade 102 forming toner in a thin layer state on a developing roller 101 and also giving a specified potential to the toner 105 is provided with a metallic blade whose surface roughness is ten-point average roughness Rz/the particle diameter (r) of the toner is 0.05 to 0.8. The toner suitable to the developing device is low softening point toner whose softening point (softening temperature) is 80 deg.C to 120 deg.C, and is the toner 105 in which 0.2 to 1.8wt.% inorganic fine particles whose particle diameter is <=0.5μm are processed to be fixed. Thus, the fixing of the toner 105 to the blade 102, the occurrence of a faulty image in accordance with the fixing of the toner 105, and toner falling from the roller 101 caused by faulty electrification, etc., are prevented. |
