PURPOSE: To charge a cleaning roller in a polarity opposite to that of toner and to prevent the offsetting from causing by applying bias to the cleaning roller. CONSTITUTION: The fixing roller 1 is composed of the aluminum core bar 11 covered with the fluororesin layer 12 and the pressure roller 2 is composed of the aluminum core bar 13 covered with the silicone rubber layer 14. The cleaning roller 3 is connected to the high voltage power source 16. The thermistor 17 is placed in contact with the surface of the fixing roller 1 for adjusting electric current to the heater 6 corresponding to the surface temp. of the fixing roller 1. When the polarity of the toner is negative, the cleaning roller 3 is applied with the bias by the high voltage power source 16 for charging the cleaning roller 3 in a positive polarity opposite to that of the toner, as a result the toner having the negative polarity is stuck to the cleaning roller 3.
