PURPOSE: To provide an end structure of an optical fiber cable which does not require an adhering operation in spite of conduction of the operation on an installation site, is, therefore, free from long waiting time for curing, does not require mirror finishing of the end face on site and has excellent on-site installability for its simple installation operation. CONSTITUTION: This end structure of the optical fiber cable is for the optical fiber cable 1 consisting of multiple optical fibers 4 and a jacket 2 covering the optical fibers 4. This jacket 2 is stripped at the end of the cable 1 and the optical fibers 4 at the stripped end of the cable are subjected to mirror finishing at their end faces 5 and are covered with a protective pipe 3. This protective pipe 3 form caulking parts 6 near both ends, by which the pipe is retained to the optical fibers 4. |
