PURPOSE: To improve riding comfort at the time of micro input without lowering the maneuvering stability of a vehicle and the durability of a bush by imparting a flexible characteristic when micro input right-angled to the axial direction acts upon the bush, and imparting a rigid characteristic at the time of large input. CONSTITUTION: In a press-fitted bush 1 press-fitted into a cylindrical collar 2 made of metal and additionally provided at the suspension of an automobile, rubber 4 serving as an elastic member is rigidly fixed to the periphery of a cylindrical member 3 made of metal, and a cavity 5 to be a ring groove is partitioned at the center of an outer layer part 6. When vertical external input acts upon the axial direction of the cylindrical member 3, in the micro input state, the rubber 4 of a flat part 10 in the outer layer part 6 with the rubber volume reduced by the cavity 5 is compressed vertically to the axial direction so as to display a flexible bending characteristic. When external input is large, on the other hand, and the flat part 10 is completely crushed to make the cavity 5 disappear, the compressive elasticity of the rubber 4 becomes large so as to display a rigid bending characteristic. |
