PURPOSE: To obtain a metallic circular part having a central hollow part and provided with a reinforced fiber layer around the hollow part. CONSTITUTION: An U shaped groove 5 having the opening part facing the axis 2 of a part is machined to a circular stock 1. An uncompressed concentric layer of a fiber 21 and filler material 22 and a fit ring having high toughness are arranged in the groove 5. By evacuating the groove 5, the groove 5 is tightly sealed by a deformable cap 50. An obtained assembly is compressed in an autoclave under the temp. and pressure conditions of superplasticity forging of the filler material layer 22.
