PURPOSE: To provide a back projection type projector adaptable to a stereoscopic picture where a liquid crystal display board adaptable to a stereoscopic picture is arranged in an optical system so as to project picture light transmitted through the display board to a screen. CONSTITUTION: A projection lens 30 is arranged above a 3-D adaptable type LCD panel 28, and a reflection mirror 32 reflecting video light toward the screen 12 is arranged above the lens 30. Illuminating light from a lamp 18 is made parallel beams by a transmissive Fresnel lens 24, and made incident on the LCD panel 28 on which the video is displayed through a transmissive Fresnel lens 26. The video light transmitted through the LCD panel 28 is led to the lens 30, reflected by the mirror 32 and enlarged and projected to the screen 12. The enlarged and projected video is viewed through spectacles for viewing 29. |
