PURPOSE: To secure necessary strength and wear resistance and improve the conductivity of heat at a contact part so as to prevent temperature rise by forming a piston pin of aluminium nitride and yttrium oxide, and specifying the coefficient of thermal conductivity and the coefficient of thermal expansion respectively. CONSTITUTION: A piston pin 2 made of ceramics is fitted into a piston 1 made of an aluminium alloy, that is, the piston pin 2 at the small end part 4 of a connecting rod is fitted into a piston pin fit-in hole 1a at the piston pin boss part 3 of the piston 1. In this case, the piston pin 2 is formed of 93-97wt% of aluminium nitride and 3-7wt% of yttrium oxide. The coefficient of thermal conductivity is specified to 160w/(m.k) or more, and the coefficient of thermal expansion is specified to 4×10<-6> / deg.C-5×10<-6> / deg.C. |
