PURPOSE: To lessen both mass and rigidity and lessen the influence on the vibration generated in an elastic body so as to improve the drive efficiency of a motor by forming the common electrode of an electromechanical converter out of a metallic foil. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic motor is composed of an elastic body 11, which has two projections 11b and 11c, four piezoelectric substances 12a, 12b, 12p, and 12p' joined with this elastic body 11, a metallic foil 13 joined with the rear of the elastic body 11, etc. The elastic body 11 is manufactured by plastic, etc., and for each piezoelectric substances 12a, 12b, 12p, and 12p', silver electrodes are baked to both sides of piezoelectric material such as PZT, or the like, and one side is made the electrode of a motor, and the piezoelectric substances 12a and 12p' are used for drive for generating vertical vibration and flexural motion and the piezoelectric substances 12p and 12p' are used for oscillatory motors. And, the metallic foil 13 is joined to the rear of the elastic body 11 by conductive adhesive after soldering a lead wire, and it is made a common electrode part. |
