PURPOSE: To perform respective operations accurately and improve measurement accuracy of blood flow volume or the like, by separately-performing an operation for scanning the cross section of a testee by operating a probe and the operation for setting ROI on the regenerated and displayed tomography. CONSTITUTION: A probe 10 which transmits an ultrasonic and receives its reflection wave is driven and the cross section keeping in fit-contact with the probe is scanned. And tomographic data and velocity data are obtained at a B/W imaging part 28 and a Doppler arithmetic part 23, respectively based on the received reflection wave signal and these respective data are stored for respective plural frames in a memory unit 24, as well. Furthermore, ROI is set by means of a console 30 on a displayed tomographic image as well as displaying the stored tomographic data on a display 26 as the tomographic image. And blood flow volume is calculated for each frame at a flow volume arithmetic part 25 based on the velocity data corresponding to the position of the stored and set ROI. |
