发明名称 PROCESSING METHOD FOR WASTE LIQUID INCLUDING VARIOUS RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS AND HEAVY METAL ELEMENTS
摘要 PURPOSE: To lower the radioactive material concentration and heavy metal concentration below a reference value and reduce the generation of secondary waste by adsorbing the radioactive materials and heavy metal elements solved in waste liquid to chitin or chitosan and removing out of the waste liquid. CONSTITUTION: Hydrogen ion concentration in a waste liquid containing various radioactive materials and heavy metal elements is controlled to pH value of 1 to 3 in accordance with the kind of the radioactive materials and heavy metal elements to be eliminated and is adsorbed by adding chitin or chitosan to this. Chitin is a polysaccharide combining N-acetyl D-glucosamine atβ-1, 4 and chitosan is a polysaccharide combining D-glucosamine atβ-1, 4, which have a special ion exchanging function or adsorption function. Therefore, the radioactive materials and heavy metal elements solved in waste liquid are adsorbed to this and removed to be lowered to the concentration capable of releasing to the atmosphere. Furthermore, the chitin or chitosan having adsorbed the radioactive materials and heavy metal elements can be decomposed by burning and so the generation of the secondary waste can be reduced.
