PURPOSE: To provide a U-section cutting tool enabling operating physical force for shearing a U-section to be uniform and its operation facile. CONSTITUTION: A U-section cutting tool is equipped with a storing part 23 for storing a U-section 1 after positioning it and a movable cutting edge 41, which moves toward the storing part 23 and shears the section, while the movable cutting edge 41 is equipped with an end part 42, which bores into the bottom plate part of the U-section 1, and cutting planes 43, 44, which are provided tiltedly on the right and left of the end part 42. The cutting planes 43, 44 have their right and left tilting anglesα,βset in different angles and possibly when the end part 42 faces the position displaced from the center of the bottom plate part of the U-section 1 and the movable cutting edge 41 moves toward the storing part 23, the cutting planes 43, 44 are made so as to start shearing the right and left rising parts 1a, 1b upon shifting the time.
