PURPOSE: To support an oil pump firmly without providing a special support member in a transmission provided with the oil pump in a position decentered from a main shaft. CONSTITUTION: A second brake holder 11 is fixed to the torque converter casing 2 of a transmission, and the friction engaging elements 82 of a second brake B1 are supported on a friction engaging element supporting part 85 integrally protruded in the axial direction from one side face of the second brake holder 11. The second brake holder 11 is provided with an extended part 92 integrally extended radially outside of the friction engaging element supporting part 85, and an oil pump 12 is supported using this extended part 92. The rigidity of the second brake holder 11 is heightened since the friction engaging element supporting part 85 functions as a reinforcing rib, so that the oil pump 12 can be firmly supported on the extended part 92.
