PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a problem sensed only by checking image data by applying numerical analysis to a digital image so as to accept or reject the quality of the digital image depending on the result of the numerical analysis. SOLUTION: The method is applicable in the diagnostic mode of an image processing system and even in the execution of the processing. A caption 10 indicates a means that executes a numerical analysis of a digital image. Furthermore, a caption 12 depicts a means accepting or rejecting a quality of a digital image based on the result of the numerical analysis. The accepted image indicates it that the quality is in compliance with the criterion and the rejected image depicts it that the quality is not in conformity with the criterion. When a digital image is accepted or rejected, the other criterion is used for further evaluation. For example, when the accumulated harmonic parts of Fourier component amplitude of a synthesized scanning line exceeds a threshold level, the digital image is rejected as improper image quality and when not, the image is accepted. |
