PURPOSE: To realize the transmission power control in a mobile station with simple hardware configuration by simplifying a transmission power control procedure in the mobile station used for a spread spectrum communication system. CONSTITUTION: Fluctuation in a propagation loss in the broad band spread spectrum communication is modelled to be a product among a propagation loss with respect to a distance, a short block median fluctuation characteristic and an instantaneous fluctuation characteristic. Since a reception signal power from a mobile station 2 in a base station 1 is estimated by detecting the reception signal power at the mobile station 2, the mobile station 2 controls transmission power so as to obtain a relation of [(transmission power of base station)-(reception signal power by mobile station)+(required reception signal power at base station)+(difference in the propagation loss for the distance of an incoming line and an outgoing line)]dB. Thus, d radio waves are utilized effectively. |
