The panel unit in the installed state has a visible cover panel (3), which is supported by a rear-located panel console (2). The panel console has turned-away support components (12,13) arranged for connection to fixed support components (17,18) belonging to the fixed parts of the vehicle for supporting the panel unit. At least one of the turned-away support components has a self-regulating distance component (23) for matching the distance between the rear support components and the corresp. fixed support components so that the panel unit with at least one counter-facing support component is backwardly located against the connecting, surrounding panel (8). The distance component comprises a sprung unit. The panel unit (1) has at least two support components located at each end and only one of the support components incorporates the distance component. The support components at the opposite ends form an articulated axis around which the panel unit can be tipped. |
