PURPOSE: To make it possible to properly mount on boards a wide variety of electronic parts by enabling switching between fixed stroke operation, wherein a suction nozzle is moved up/down at high speed with a specified stroke, and variable stroke operation, wherein the suction nozzle is moved up/down with any stroke. CONSTITUTION: A mounting head 1 mounts an electronic part 70 on a board by moving up/down the vertical shaft 9 having a suction nozzle 8 at its lower part by means of cams for up-and-down movements. The mounting head 1 is so designed that fixed stroke operation and variable stroke operation are selectable. In fixed stroke operation, a cam 102A for up-and-down movements is rotated by one turn to move up/down the suction nozzle 8. In variable stroke operation, a cam 102B for up-and-down movements is rotated through any rotational angle to move down and stop the suction nozzle halfway. The cam 102B is then rotated in reverse to move up the suction nozzle. |
