PURPOSE: To make the whole size of an image forming device compact and to reduce the cost thereof by executing a transfer action in a state where an image carrier is rotated at a second low rotational speed and returning the rotational speed to a first high rotational speed after the transfer action is finished. CONSTITUTION: After a developing process by a developing device 10 for a black color being the final color is finished, the image carrier 1 is rotated once further. In the meantime, the process speed of the carrier 1 is reduced to the low speed of 25mm/second from the high speed of 110mm/second, first. Next, the transfer belt 13 of a transfer device 11 disposed so that it can be brought into contact with and separated from the carrier 1 is brought into contact with the carrier 1 and the batch transfer action is executed. After the belt 13 is separated from the carrier 1, the process speed of the carrier 1 is restored to the speed of 110mm/second being the speed before the deceleration while the carrier 1 is rotated once. Thus, since the outside diameter of the carrier 1 is made small and the cost thereof is reduced, the cost of the whole image forming device is reduced. |
