PURPOSE: To surely avoid the jamming of automatically fed original and the damage of the original in accordance with the use state of an image forming device main body and to improve operability by detecting whether the original is placed on an original platen in the case of feeding the original. CONSTITUTION: An original detecting sensor 14 detects the size of an original sheet placed at the image reading position of the image forming device main body. An original detecting sensor 34 detects the presence or absence of the original sheet placed on the original platen. A CPU 10 inhibits image forming actions by the image forming device main body based on detection output from the sensors 14 and 34, and surely inhibits a situation that the original is automatically fed and image-forming is started in a state where the original is placed on the original platen. Thus, the damage of the fed original or jamming in feeding the original is prevented. |
