PURPOSE: To detect abnormality earlier by selecting the detected corona pulse based on the magnitude, and monitoring the tendency for every level. CONSTITUTION: An insulation monitor 10 amplifies the corona pulse detected by a detector 5 with an amplifier 6. The pulse is compared with a plurality of levels with a sample-and-hold circuit 7. The amount of the pulses at respective levels is outputted by an A/D converter 8 to a microcomputer part 9 together with the measured date and time. When it is judged that the warning should be generated based on the analysis of the microcomputer part 9, the warning is outputted to the outside. The microcomputer part 9 performs the analysis when the number of the corona pulses exceeding the warning level exceeds a specified number within the unit time by utilizing the collected data base. At first, the tendency graph of the number of the corona pulses before and after the warning-output time is prepared for every level, and the points exceeding the specified number within the unit time are plotted for each level. Thus, the accurate diagnosis can be performed, and the abnormality can be detected at the early period. |
