PURPOSE: To provide a color filter having highly minute patterns at a low cost by preparing a black matrix by use of black ink having polarity contrary to that of color ink. CONSTITUTION: A resin composition layer 2 as ink receive layer is provided on a transparent substrate 1. A black matrix pattern 3 and R, G, B color patterns 4 by use of a plurality of color ink having different color characteristics are simultaneously printed on the resin composition layer 2 by using an ink jet head 5. Such ink in which the polarity of black ink is reverse to the polarity of a plurality of color ink is used as the ink used in the formation of patterns. For example, if black ink contains anionic compound, color ink which contains cationic compound is used. Consequently, it is possible to eliminate oozing among boundaries of the black matrix pattern and R, G, B patterns. |
