<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the discharging amount of nitrous oxide without increasing the discharging amount of NOx by supplying low volatile carbon material of a predetermined grain size into a combustion furnace. CONSTITUTION: Fluidizing medium or silica sand is filled on a dispersing plate 2 provided in a combustion furnace 1 while the fluidizing medium is fluidized by fluidizing air supplied from the lower part of the dispersing plate 2. The sludge of sewerage, supplied by a supplying device 3, is mixed and dried by the flowing medium and is burnt while nitrous oxide is produced at the same time. A carbon material supplying tube 6 is attached to a free port section to supply the low volatile carbon material, having the grain size of 10μm or less, is supplied from the carbon material supplying tube 6 into the combustion furnace 1 to effect the reducing reaction of the nitrous oxide by the carbon material. According to this method, the discharging amount of nitrous oxide (N2 O) can be reduced efficiently without increasing the discharging amount of NOx.</p> |
