PURPOSE: To obtain the adhesive tape for protecting cathode ray tube, which has the good appearance in the rolled condition and the condition after it is attached to the cathode-ray tube and which has the excellent attaching workability. CONSTITUTION: Polypropylene resin 3 at 20μm is laminated on a surface of the nonwoven fabric 2, to which thermal press is performed, and the other surface of the nonwoven fabric 2 is coated with the acrylic group adhesive agent 4 at both ends thereof with 30g/m<2> of solid component at 10mm of width, and dried. Almost of the nonwoven fabric 2 is impregnated with this acrylic group adhesive agent 4, and thickness of the nonwoven fabric at the coated parts 22 and non-coated part 21 are formed as nearly same as each other.
