PURPOSE: To stabilize the differential limiting function of the speed sensing type, and to prevent the deterioration of the differential limiting force by providing a differential limiting function to be sensed by the transmitted torque and the differential rotational speed to prevent the interference and canceling of the pressure of the different viscous fluids to be caused at each engagement part of gears. CONSTITUTION: Split washers 101, 101 as a pressure dividing means are arranged between first and second gear parts 97, 99 of a pinion gear 89 in a rear differential device, and a washer 57 is similarly arranged between side gears 43, 45. When the differential rotation is generated between the gears, and the oil is pressurized by the pumping action of each engaged part to generate the positive and negative pressure, the oil pressure is applied to each gear at the part where the positive pressure is generated directly or through the washer 57 and the split washers 101, 101, and the friction resistance is generated between the differential case and the gear, or between the gears to limit the differential. The canceling and interference of the oil pressure is prevented by the respective washers 57, 101.
