PURPOSE: To improve the signal-noise ratio of a current component due to angular velocity by adding and feeding back the output of a current-voltage transformer, and lowering the gain of the current component attributted to the drive of a vibrator. CONSTITUTION: An adder 14 adds voltage VL and VR with resistors 142 to 144, upon receipt thereof from current-voltage transformers 4 and 5, and the voltage is amplified through resistors 145 and 146, thereby feeding a signal Vf back to converters 4 and 5. Also, a differential amplifier 14 outputs voltage VD corresponding to a difference between currents IL and IR (or difference between VL and VR) flowing across the piezoelectric section of a vibrator. In this case, the components of the currents IL and IR along a detection shaft or current components due to angular velocity are opposite-phase components and, therefore, the gain of a current component through the converters 4 and 5 becomes free from the effect of the signal Vf . On the other hand, the components of the currents IL and IR along a drive shaft or current components due to the drive of the vibrator have the same phase. The gain of the current component through the converters 4 and 5 is, therefore, reduced, due to the feedback of the signal Vf . As a result, the signal-noise ratio of a current component due to angular velocity can be improved. |
