The brassiere's cup is made from a surface layer (10) which can be made from different materials and pre-shaped textiles, a central flexible layer (20) of a non-reticulated, aerated and dense polyester, and an inner layer (30) of an elastic fabric. The three layers are compressed together to form a one-piece structure. In a variant of the design the cup can be made with a layer of padding covering the lower half of its inner side to support the weight of the breast and impart a favourable line and contour. The padding can be made in one piece with the cup's central layer (20).
