PURPOSE: To detect the abnormality of the surface temperature of a heat roller by a temperature detecting element when the surface temperature thereof becomes abnormal and to shorten the time required for starting actual operation coping with the detected result without the rise of cost by releasing the hold of the temperature when the surface temperature of the heat roller exceeds specified temperature. CONSTITUTION: In the case the surface temperature of the heat roller 2 is normal, the roller 2 is supported by bearings 20 and rotated at a position distant from a thermostat 10. When the surface temperature of the roller 2 is abnormal, the bearing 20 begins to be melted by the heat of the surface of the roller 2 and moves the roller 2 which is always energized by a spring 13 through a pressure roller 11 to the thermostat 10 side. When the thermostat 10 is at the temperature at which it is actuated, the roller 2 comes in contact with the thermostat 10 and the surface temperature of the roller 2 is nearly directly detected by the thermostat 10. In the case of exceeding the detected temperature by the thermostat 10, the thermostat 10 is actuated and stops energizing a halogen lamp 5, so that a printer is prevented from breaking down. |
