PURPOSE: To enable high-precision pixel addressing, concerning a method and a device for modulating a space to a direction crossing a process direction. CONSTITUTION: This spatial light modulator is provided with an array 12 of individual elements. Beams from a light source 14 are respectively reflected at these individual elements and made incident on the phases of pixels 20 and 54 of an organic photoconductive drum 16. The beams from the individual elements can be converged by an optical system 18, as well. |
