PURPOSE: To inexpensively form an image stabilized density with respect to the image forming device provided with an electrophotographic process uniformly electrostatically charging an image carrier, forming an electrostatic latent image by exposure and developing and transferring the electrostatic latent image. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with both a potential adjusting means by an absolute potential control system and a potential adjusting means by a contrast potential control system, and potential adjusting by the absolute potential control system is firstly tested, and in accordance with a result whether the absolute potential adjusting is correctly performed or not and in the case that the absolute potential adjusting is correctly performed, image-forming is performed based on the absolute potential adjusting correctly performed, and in the case that the absolute adjusting is not correctly performed, potential adjusting by the contrast potential control system is next performed, and the image-forming based on the contrast potential adjusting is performed. |
