PURPOSE: To quickly replenish transaction media at the time of replenishing transaction media by providing this automatic machine group managing device with a storage selecting means for selecting a medium storing means based upon a storage box identifier (ID) in accordance with the sort of transaction media specified to a command. CONSTITUTION: A medium storing means 5 is arranged in each sort of transaction media and a storage box ID corresponding to each sort of media is applied to the means 5. When a command for specifying replenish or recovery and the sort of transaction media is outputted from an automatic transaction device 1, a medium replenishing/recovering machine 2 loaded with plural medium storing means 5 is moved to the device 1 in accordance with the command. When the machine 2 is positioned and connected to the device 1, a storage selecting means 3 selects a certain means 5 based upon a medium ID and transaction media are replenished/recovered between the selected means 5 in the machine 2 and a cash box 8 stored in the device 1 in each sort of transaction media through a replenishing medium carrying means 6 or a recovering medium carrying means 7.
