PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal panel which enables an excellent liquid crystal display with little image defect. CONSTITUTION: A colored transparent color filter layer 2 having spaces is formed on a substrate 1 and a black light-shielding layer 4a partly or wholly thicker than the color filter layer 2 is formed in these spaces of the color filter layer 2, and further, a spacer 6 is formed by dispersing on the surface of the light-shielding layer 4a to constitute the liquid crystal panel. The distance LB between the upper surface of the light-shielding layer 4a and the face of the opposite substrate 7 facing to the liquid crystal panel, the distance between the face of the opposite substrate 7 and the upper face of the color filter layer 2, and the diameter D of the spacer particles satisfy the relation of LB<D<LC. |
